What is Needle Felting?
Needle felting is a process that begins by rolling up a small amount of wool and continuously poking and piercing it with the felting needle. When the wool is prodded in this manner with the felting needle it pulls the wool into itself. By pieracing the wool with the needle over and over while turning the wool it continues to pull wool into itself. Then, the wool, with its tiny scales, locks together. Continued stabbing and turning of the wool fibre results in a firm shape. Once there is a basic shape to start with, more wool is added where it is needed to form a sculpture. You can create multiple items through the process of needle felting.
