Who is the lady behind The Good Yarn?

Hi, Im a married, mother of two, who has been encompassed by amazing crafters for as long as I can remember

Ive grown up my whole life being surrounded by talented fibre crafters. In fact, we used to have a pet sheep, whose wool would be spun and my Grandmother would then knit it into wonderfully warm jumpers. My Mum has knitted nearly everyone in our family a jumper, beanie, scarf or cardigan. And now the kids are learning to weave. And I once hand crocheted hundreds of small metal panels and turned them into a dress. So, owning a handicrafts store just seems normal.

But I also understand that the projects you work on, are more than just a project. They’re gifts for loved ones, they’re family memories in the making, they’re heirlooms handed down through the generations. So finding the perfect spinning wheel, weaving loom, yarn or thread is important. And that is also why I put so much emphasis on great customer service
