The Good Yarn has reserved the rights that any terms and conditions may be changed at any time at our sole discretion. The latest version of the terms and conditions is the version that the business will be governed by, at this point in time, and supersedes all past versions.

1. Terms Of Use & Site Access

All terms and conditions are in relation to The Good Yarn. By carefully reading these terms and conditions you are agreeing to abide by these rules set for the visiting and browsing purposes of the website by The Good Yarn.  If you do not agree with any of the terms and conditions you are prohibited from browsing or accessing the website www.thegoodyarn.com.au and all related websites.  If you are currently browsing the website please close it immediately, as any use means you are agreeing and will abide by any of the rules that have been set to govern our site.

2. Website Limitations

The Good Yarn website contains material that is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, although is not limited to, the website layout/appearance, look, designs, photography, graphics and logos. The downloading of any of the material, modifications or reproduction of site material is prohibited, unless permission is given by The Good Yarn and you have our express written consent.

3. Limitations & Liability

Other than as specified expressly in these terms and conditions we will not be liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss or damage) however caused which may be suffered or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly in respect of the use by you of The Good Yarn service, The Good Yarn products or The Good Yarn website except to the extent that such liability cannot be excluded by law.

All content on The Good Yarn websites including text, graphics, logos, designs, photographs, button icons, images, audio/video clips, data compilations and software and its compilation is the property of The Good Yarn and is protected by New Zealand, Australian and International copyright laws.

You may not modify, download, create, copy, distribute, transmit, display, reproduce, duplicate, publish, license, create derivative works from, or offer for sale any information contained on, or obtained from, The Good Yarn website without our express written consent.

All The Good Yarn graphics, logos, page headers, button icons, images and product names are the copyright of The Good Yarn. and copyright materials may not be used in connection with any product or service without written approval.

You must not:

  1. Republish any Content from our Website or Social Media as your own;
  2. Reproduce or exploit any Content on our Website or Social Media for commercial purpose;
  3. Edit or otherwise modify any Content from or on our Website and Social Media; or

5. Jurisdictional Operations and Issues

The Good Yarn is a business that is controlled and operated from Wodonga, VIC 3690 Australia. Our site only operates in conjunction within the jurisdiction of Australian local laws.

6. Applicable & Governing law

Any use of this site will be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of Australia. Disputes that may arise from misuse of our site will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Australia and its local laws.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our Website and Social Media is owned by or licensed to us and is protected under Australian, New Zealand and International copyright laws. You may only view, share and download content for caching purposes.

8. Policy on Ideas & Suggestions Submissions

When a customer has thoughts for enhancements or offers ideas or suggestions for products and services to be used, The Good Yarn becomes the owner of this intellectual property as soon as these recommendations are submitted.  The Good Yarn does welcome and encourage customers to give us ideas and suggestions on enhancements to the website, products or services.  Although if you mean to use your intellectual property for your own use, it is advised that you do not submit your idea or suggestion to us..

9. Delivery & Dispatch

9.1 Dispatch Information

The Good Yarn dispatches its Australian orders from its Australian Warehouse and New Zealand orders from Ashburton, New Zealand. Your order will be fulfilled and dispatched within various time frames according to where it is warehoused. Payment must be received in full before orders will be fulfilled.

The Good Yarn uses Australia Post for all Australian dispatched orders and an International Courier/Freight service for all NZ dispatched orders. By choosing to purchase from The Good Yarn, customers give authority for their order to be left unattended at their delivery address. The Good Yarn will only replace orders if the order is proven lost in transit by our delivery company.

9.2 Delivery Times

The Good Yarn aims to process and dispatch your order within 5-10 business days, unless otherwise noted on the website and product pages. From time to time, order processing times may be slower than anticipated due to factors outside of the control of The Good Yarn: Those being, but not exclusive to: stock replenishment delays, stock availability from the supplier(s), disruptions to the supply chain, slow freighting times, large orders of a single product and shipping delays caused by third parties that are outside of the control of The Good Yarn.

10. Pricing, Returns & Refund Policies

10.1 Pricing

All advertised prices are inclusive of GST where applicable. Prices of products and services are subject to change at any time and without prior notice.

10.2 Returns and Refunds

10.2.1 Change of Mind

We do not refund for change of mind. This includes misreading product descriptions, incorrectly choosing the required size, choosing incorrectly, no longer requiring, purchasing parts for products other than Ashford, etc. If, for any reason, we do decide to offer a refund it will be in the form of a credit voucher and the following will apply :

  1. After a product has been dispatched from The Good Yarn, any credited or refunded amount will exclude the original shipping amount.
  2. In all cases, the refunded amount will exclude a restocking fee. The restocking fee will be equal to 10% of the cost of the item(s), up to a maximum of $15.
    1. Customers may choose to accept a store credit instead of a refund. In this case the restocking fee will will not apply.
  3. The return shipping of the product(s) to be returned is at the cost of the customer returning the item.
  4. All returned items, including their packaging must be in 100% new condition. Damaged items, including packaging will not be able to be refunded or credited.

10.2.2 Pre-Ordered and Back Ordered Items

When an item is on Pre-Order or Backorder and will not arrive within the time required by the customer, the order may be cancelled and a store credit note given. There are no refunds on these items as additional stock will have been ordered for the individual customer(s)

10.2.3 Sale Items

There is no refund or exchanges available on Sale or reduced price items under any circumstance

10.2.4 Failure of Product

If a product or service you buy fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you have the right to ask for a repair, replacement or refund under the Australian Consumer Law. The remedy you’re entitled to will depend on whether the issue is major or minor.

In the case of a faulty product/s, a quality inspection by us is usually required. If you have a faulty item or are not happy with your product, please start off by emailing our Customer Service Team at yourfriends@thegoodyarn.com.au If we require further inspection of a product or you are not 100% satisfied with your product, we may ask for the product to be returned to us within the 21 days.

If the problem with a product or service is minor, you must accept a free repair if the The Good Yarn offers you one.

You can ask for a replacement or refund if the problem with the product is major.

Replaced products must be of an identical type to the product originally supplied. Refunds should be the same amount you have already paid, provided in the same form as your original payment.

The Good Yarn may take into account how much time has passed since you bought the product considering the following factors:

  • type of product
  • how a consumer is likely to use the product
  • the length of time for which it is reasonable for the product to be used
  • the amount of use it could reasonably be expected to tolerate before the failure becomes noticeable.

11. Posting Policy

You may upload posts on Social Media subject to the following:

11.1 Intellectual Property Rights

You grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use any Intellectual Property in Posts or Electronic Communication, including rights to:

  1. Copy, reformat, edit or translate;
  2. Publicly perform or present;
  3. Distribute for any purpose including for commercial or advertising purpose; and
  4. Incorporate in our website and Social Media or any other works.
  5. Intellectual Property Licence in relation to that material ends when you delete that Post but you understand that even if you delete Posts, we may still keep back-ups for a reasonable period of time.

11.2 Prohibited Posts

You must not upload any Post that:

  1. is an image of another person or another person’s property without their consent;
  2. is harmful, threatening, abusive or harassing;
  3. promotes racism, bigotry, hatred, physical harm or any other discriminatory behaviour
  4. is false, misleading or fraudulent;
  5. advertises any company or their goods or services other than us;
  6. Invades someone else’s privacy and rights.

11.3 Your warranty in post

  1. you have the right and authority to provide the Post in the manner it is posted;
  2. you own the Post and have the right to assign copyright ownership and other Intellectual Property to us; and
  3. the Content is not prohibited content under above clause


Monitoring of Social Media

We have not reviewed and cannot review all Posts and we are not responsible for liability arising out of your Post.

We may, at our sole discretion, pre-screen, reject or remove any Post you provide for any reason

12. Online Shopping Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to the ordering, purchase and delivery of goods from the Website and form a contract between you and The Good Yarn

13. Placing orders

You agree that:

  1. You will abide by the Terms regarding promotions where goods are limited by per person or per address. Any quantity restrictions will be stated on the promotional material.
    1. The Good Yarn will not be liable to you for loss you or any third party suffers for a delay or failure to process your Order or deliver Goods due to inaccurate or incomplete details provided in an Order.
    2. Once an order has been placed it cannot be guaranteed that it can be amended.
    3. You must be at least 18 years of age (or 16 years of age with parental consent) with an active phone number and email address to purchase Goods.
    4. Orders placed separately or consecutively cannot be consolidated. A separate Delivery Fee will be applied to each order.
    5. We reserve all rights to refuse fulfilment of an order.  In these circumstances you will be advised and any money that has been paid will be refunded

14. Promotions

You agree:

  1. That it is your responsibility to ensure that a promotional Coupon Code is valid and that it is entered and applied correctly at the time of placing an order.
    1. To the terms that only one promotional Coupon Code can be used at a time and does not work in conjunction with any other promotional offers.
    2. To read and abide by the terms of individual promotional offers carefully. Some offers may exclude postage and handling costs and other costs incurred as a result of redeeming the offer.
    3. All references to times in promotions are based on local EST Australian or New Zealand Standard time, based on where the order was placed unless stated otherwise.

15. The Good Yarn Loyalty Rewards Points Program

The Good Yarn Rewards program is the customer loyalty program which The Good Yarn operates throughout Australia.
By registering as a member, or attempting to collect, access or enjoy any Member Benefits, you agree that these T&Cs will apply to you in respect of the The Good Yarn Rewards program.
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the Rewards Points Program (“Program”) offered by The Good Yarn an Australian-based business (“The Business”). By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

15.1 Eligibility

The Program is open to all individuals who are at least 18 years of age and reside in Australia with a current Australian residential address. Employees of the Business and its affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, as well as their immediate family members and household members, are not eligible to participate in the Program.

15.2 Earning Rewards Points

You can earn Rewards Points by making eligible purchases at The Good Yarn online webstore. The number of Rewards Points you can earn for each dollar spent may vary depending on the product or service purchased. Rewards Points cannot be earned on taxes, shipping, or handling fees.

Redeeming Rewards Points
Rewards Points can be redeemed for a dollar discount on eligible purchases at The Good Yarn and its affiliated stores. Once logged in to your account, the available points and corresponding discount will be shown.

15.3 Expiration of Rewards Points
Rewards Points may expire 12 months after the date they were earned. The Business reserves the right to expire Rewards Points earlier or extend the expiration period at its discretion.

15.4 Account Management
You must create an account with the Business to participate in the Program. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username and password. The Business is not liable for any unauthorised access to your account. You must notify the Business immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

15.5 Modification or Termination of Program
The Business reserves the right to modify or terminate the Program, in whole or in part, at any time without prior notice. The Business may also modify or terminate these Terms at its discretion. Any modifications or terminations will be effective immediately upon posting on the Business’s website. The Business reserves the right to suspend any account holder at any time and remove all existing points and discounts with no reason needed to be given

15.6 Disclaimers
The Program is provided on an “as-is” basis without any warranty, express or implied. The Business disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

15.7 Limitation of Liability
The Business is not liable for any indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Program, even if the Business has been advised of the possibility of such damages. The Business’s liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the Program shall be limited to the amount of Rewards Points that you have earned in the Program.

15.8 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from the Program or these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the jurisdiction of Australia.
