Needle Felting Foam

Used to provide a penetrable surface on which to needle felt. Needle felting foam is a soft and spongy material used as a base or support for needle felting projects

The foam acts as a cushion that helps protect your work surface and your needles.

When needle felting, you place the wool or fibres you're working with on top of the foam block. As you poke the wool with the felting needle, the barbs on the needle push the fibres through the top layer and into the foam, tangling and interlocking them together. The foam pad provides resistance.
