40cm rigid heddle loom

Very happy with the Ashford 40 cm rigid heddle loom. The price is reasonable and it is well made . I had some difficulty with assembling . Instructions are good but in my old age I did not have the strength to screw the pieces together .A friend was obliging and put it together for me .
I would recommend a floor stand as the loom is solid and takes up room on a table . Can adjust the height /angle of the loom with it being ready for use or put aside out of the way.
The loom is very easy to use .
The loom comes with a 7.5 dpi reed . As I usually weave using lace weight yarn I purchased a 15 dpi reed . in case I decide to weave with a thicker yarn for future projects I also purchased a 12.5 dpi and a 10 dpi reed.
If new to using a rigid heddle loom there are clear instructions either on the website or various utubes .If interested the potential for varied weaving techniques are readily available.
I am currently weaving scarfs of various lengths and widths using my own hand dyed yarn . I found that I could not purchase the fine yarn in acceptable colour variations to meet my expectations. I now dye my own no matter what thickness I want for a project.
